Devon & I went to the Dr. today (Yes, this is Seth writing this). She had to do the Gestational Diabetes test today, and she really isn't a huge fan of sugary stuff, so she wasn't too thrilled about it. She also had to give blood to not only test for this but for a few others things. We will get the blood test back in a few days.
Dr. Harper said that everything was coming along well. The heart beat was nice and strong, and Devon's stomach measurement and weight gain is right on track. She is finally in the positive (+5 lbs.)!!! Technically she should gain around a pound a week from here on out, so we'll see how much I can feed her to see if we can make that happen. All in all, it was a good Dr. visit and we are blessed that all is well.
We started our birthing classes this past weekend. We are one of three couples in the class, so it is nice and intimate...plenty of one on one instructions (you know that as a teacher, I can definitely appreciate that). We learned some relaxation and stretching techniques. Our next class is covering proper Nutrition.
On another note, and an exciting one at that, we found a house to move into, in Wylie. We will be moving on July 25th. It is an older house (built in the '60s) with the original hard wood floors. It is a 3 bdrm, 2 bath, w/ a 2 car garage. It has a very good size back yard with a relatively new wooden fence...so our dogs will be SUPER excited to get to run around un-leashed. The rent is under what we were looking to spend a month, so that is definitely a good thing. It is in an older area of town, so the trees are all grown up and the majority of the neighbors are older couples who have been living there most of their lives. We will post again with some pictures of it.
Well...I suppose that's all for now...until next time :)
